About Alipurduar College:
Established in 1957 with financial assistance from the Central Government of India, Alipurduar College got the initial recognition as a Government Sponsored College affiliated to the University of North Bengal under the Refugee Rehabilitation and Development Programme of the Union Government and in due course of time, came under the 2F and 12B category of the University Grants Commission. It is a co-education college with courses in arts, sciences and commerce.
Eligibility Criteria for Alipurduar College Admission 2021-22 – Online Application
Admission Criteria:
Students who have passed the Higher Secondary examination (10+2) conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary education (W.B.C.H.S.E.) after a period of 12 years study or any other equivalent (10+2) pattern examination conducted by the I.S.C. or C.B.S.E. or any other board recognized as equivalent by the North Bengal University, provided the student has passed in at least four subjects with English as a compulsory subject, excluding Environmental Studies/Environmental Education. Those students who have obtained either (i) 55% marks in the aggregate or (ii) 50% marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying examinations shall be eligible to apply for admission to Honours in the subject concerned in general categories. However, the above criterion reduces to (i) 50% marks in the aggregate or (ii) 45% marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying examinations shall be eligible to apply for admission to Honours in the subject concerned in SC/ST categories.

Alipurduar College Merit List:
Selection will be strictly based on merit points following the guidelines of the North Bengal University. Admission will be conducted strictly on the basis of merit. The subject wise merit lists will be prepared based on corresponding index mark for all categories of students.
