Balarampur College, established in 1985, is the general degree college in Rangadih, Balarampur, Purulia district. It offers undergraduate courses in arts, commerce. It is affiliated with Sidho Kanho Birsha University. The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Balarampur College is situated at the heart of a tribal belt in the southern part of Purulia and it is a co-educational institution. It was established in the year 1985 to impart education at Degree Level. It started Tow- Year Degree Arts General Course from the Session 1985- 86 with the affiliation to the University of Burdwan. Eligibility Criteria for Balarampur College Admission 2021-22 – Merit List
Admission Criteria:
Candidates who passed 10 + 2 or equivalent examination in 2018 to 2020 with a minimum of five approved subjects (each of 100 as Full Marks and prescribed pass marks) only are allowed to apply for admission, provided ‘Course-wise Eligibility Criteria’ are fulfilled. Business Mathematics will not be considered in lieu of Mathematics at (10+2) level. Aggregate is taken as total marks of the best four subjects excluding Environment Studies. Candidates passing from Open School or from Council/Board/Institution that the Govt. of West Bengal does not recognize are not allowed to submit the online application. If still submitted, the candidate will remain liable personally.
Admission for the applicants with Vocational courses in 10+2 level are subjected to the approval of the Sidho Kanho Birsha University, fetching approval from the University is exclusively applicant’s personal liability.
