Balurghat Mahila Mahavidyalaya is a women’s college in Balurghat in the Dakshin Dinajpur district of West Bengal, India. The college is affiliated with the University of Gour Banga, offering undergraduate courses. In 2007 the college has been awarded C+ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The college is also recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The only college meant for imparting Women’s Education in the District of Dakshin Dinajpur Balurghat Mahila Mahavidyalaya was founded on 12th August. 1970, thanks, to the honest initiatives of Educationists and local people.

For Honours Course: Candidates must carry 45% marks in aggregate or 50% marks in the subject in which honours is intended in H.S. (10+2) (H.S. (Vocational) not applicable in any honours courses).
For General Course: Candidates must pass in H.S. examination or equivalent.
For B.Sc. Major Course: Candidates must pass in H.S. examination or equivalent.
Candidates should have passed H.S. examination or equivalent from the West Bengal Council of higher secondary education or any board enlisted by Gour Banga University within the last three year (i.e. 2020, 2019, 2018). A relaxation of two years may be given to those candidates who have obtained special permission from UG Secretary, Gour Banga University.

Balurghat Mahila Mahavidyalaya Merit List:
Admission will be strictly on merit basis. The merit point of an applicant will be judged by taking into account 10% of the marks obtained in the best five subjects and the marks obtained in the subject applied for. Merit list for admission will be based on marks obtained in the best five subjects including two languages and three elective subjects for Honours subjects. Applicant having only one language subject will not be entertained.
