About Bankura Christian College:
Bankura Christian College, established in 1903, is the oldest college in the Bankura district in India. It offers undergraduate courses in arts and sciences. It is affiliated with Bankura University. Bankura Christian College was established by the Wesleyan Missionary Society in 1903 to prepare students for the F. A. Examination only. On July 16th, 1906, the Honourable Mr Lancelot Hare, Officiating Lieutenant-Governor of Bengal, laid the foundation stone of the college building on a land of 115 bighas near the centre of the town. It was the first college to be established in the Bankura district.

Eligibility Criteria for Bankura Christian College Admission 2021-22
Admission Criteria:
Students who have passed the Higher Secondary examination (10+2) conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary education (W.B.C.H.S.E.) after a period of 12 years study or any other equivalent (10+2) pattern exam conducted by the I.S.C. or C.B.S.E. or any other board recognized as equivalent by the Calcutta University, provided the student has passed in at least four subjects with English as a compulsory subject, excluding Environmental Studies/Environmental Education. Those students who have obtained either (i) 55% marks in the aggregate or (ii) 50% marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying exam shall be eligible to apply for admission to Hons. in the subject concerned in gen. categories. However, the above criterion reduces to (i) 50% marks in the aggregate or (ii) 45% marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying exam shall be eligible to apply for admission to Hons. in the subject concerned in SC/ST categories.

Merit List of Bankura Christian College:
