Eligibility Criteria for Darjeeling Govt. College:
Students have passed H.S./equivalent Examination in 2017 can be eligible for application. Only the students passed H.S. Examination in 2018, 2019 & 2020 can be eligible to apply provided that they have not appeared in any examination at graduation level under Gour Banga University.
The students passed out from Vocational Courses are eligible to apply only in General course.
To apply for Honours Courses, the candidate must have got either 50 % in Subject or 45 % in aggregate (to be calculated by adding marks obtained in the five best subjects). To apply for General Courses, the candidate must have got pass marks in at least five subjects.
A candidate may apply for Honours if only the following conditions are fulfilled
i) 55% in the aggregate or
ii) 50% in the aggregate with 60% in the subject.
iv) For SC/ST applicants eligibility criteria is 50% in the aggregate or
v) 45% in the aggregate with 60% in the subject.

Darjeeling Govt. College Merit List:
Admission will be strictly on merit basis. The merit point of an applicant will be judged by taking into account 10% of the marks obtained in the best five subjects and the marks obtained in the subject applied for. Merit list for admission will be based on marks obtained in the best five subjects including two languages and three elective subjects for Honours subjects. Applicant having only one language subject will not be entertained.
