About Durgapur Women’s College:
Durgapur Women’s College, established in 1980, is a women’s college in Durgapur, Paschim Bardhaman district. It offers undergraduate courses in arts, sciences and commerce. It is affiliated with Kazi Nazrul University. The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It has been accredited by NAAC with B++ Grade with a CGPA of 2.77. Durgapur Women’s College had been established as the first women’s Degree College with the express aim of educating girl students living in the vicinity of the Steel City of Durgapur. The establishment of the College was the outcome of a project taken up by the DNAA (now Durgapur Municipal Corporation).

Eligibility Criteria for Durgapur Women’s College Admission 2021-22 – Online Application
Admission Criteria:
Candidates must have passed H.S. or equivalent from a recognized board in 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018. For admission to Pure-Science stream pass in Mathematics is compulsory. For admission to Honours courses, a student must have at least 45% in aggregate and 45% in subject. Students in Science or Commerce stream may apply for the Humanities stream but not vice versa. Students applying for Honours in available subjects must have studied the indicated subjects at H.S. Level.

Students who have passed the H.S. exam. in 2019, 2020 and 2021 may apply online for Admission. Students have to apply online to take admission to Durgapur Women’s College under B.A., B.Sc.
