Gobardanga Hindu College, established in 1947, is a general degree college in Gobardanga, West Bengal, India. It offers undergraduate courses in arts, commerce and sciences and postgraduate courses in arts. It is currently affiliated with West Bengal State University (formerly affiliated with the University of Calcutta). Eligibility Criteria:
A Candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent exam is eligible to seek admission to the first semester of the Six semesters B.A./B.Sc/B.Com. (Gen./Hons.) course under Choice Based Credit Systems (CBCS). He/she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100. Admission to B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (Gen./Hons.) the course will be conducted on the basis of the Higher Secondary or equivalent exam recognized by affiliating Board/Council. No candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying exam or discontinuous of recognised regular course of study after passing the previous qualifying exam.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission (Honours Course):
i) A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying exam [in case of B.Mus. (Hons.) 45% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject Music, in the previous qualifying examination,] Or (ii) 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying exam. Or (iii) 50% marks in the aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject in his/her previous qualifying exam provided all other clauses are satisfied.
» However, candidates belonging to Reserved Categories taking up Honours Course of Study must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying exam, as the case may be.
