Gurudas College, established in 1956, is an undergraduate college in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It is affiliated with
the University of Calcutta. The name commemorates the legacy of Sir Gurudas Banerjee, the first Indian vice-chancellor of
the University of Calcutta. Gurudas College is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). It was re-accredited

Eligibility Criteria for Gurudas College Online Admission 2021-22
Candidates who have passed the examination at the 10 + 2 level (Higher Secondary or its equivalent) are eligible to seek
admission to the 1st of the six semesters (in 3 years) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (Honours/General) courses provided he/she has
also passed in English (paper having full marks not less than 100). Aggregate marks shall be calculated by adding the
marks in best four subjects in order of marks secured by a candidate. Marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account for the calculation of aggregate marks. However, if the subject “Environmental Science” is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.
