Eligibility Criteria for the Session of 2021-22:
1. Passed/appeared for 10+2 from recognized Central/State Board of Higher Secondary Education, or equivalent qualification.
2. For B.C.A., Higher Secondary (10 + 2) or any other equivalent examination recognized by the University. Preference will be given to students having Mathematics or Business Math or Computer Science or Computer Applications or Informatics Practices in their 10+2 examination.
3. For B.B.A., preference will be given to students having commerce and Mathematics in their 10+2 examination.

Admission will be conducted strictly on the basis of merit. The subject wise merit lists will be prepared based on corresponding index mark for all categories of students. SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates from only West Bengal are eligible for reservation benefits.

Gyan Jyoti College Counselling:
Admission is made strictly on the basis of merit as per the marks obtained in the last qualifying examination, keeping in view the stipulated Rules and Regulations set by the University of Calcutta and the Higher Education Department of State Government. There is also a provision of reservation of seat of SC/ST/OBC/PH as per Government Rules. Selected candidates have to submit the following documents in original along with self-attested xerox copies at the time of verification (date will be given later on the college website)-
i) One self-attested photocopy of Class X marksheet.
ii) Original Class XII marksheet.
iii) Two self-attested (both sides) photocopies of Class XII marksheet.
iv) Two self-attested photocopies of the certificate of age-proof(Birth Certificate or Class X admit card ).
v) Two self-attested photocopies of Govt. issued SC/ST/OBC certificate of the candidate (only for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
vi) Original and One self-attested Class XII Migration Certificate (excepting candidates from WBCHSE).
vii) Original and one self-attested photocopy of Transfer Certificate/School Leaving Certificate.
viii) Four passport-sized coloured photographs. An affidavit from the court, if the candidate has a gap in his/her academic career (a gap up to 3 years is allowed).
