Eligibility Criteria for Islampur College Admission 2021-22 – Islampur College Online Application

Admission Procedure for the Session of 2021-22:
Only those students who have passed the H.S. Examination of the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent degree as recognised by the University of North Bengal are eligible for admission in the degree course. A candidate prosecuting Honours in a subject shall not be allowed to take up the same subject as elective. For admission to the Course B. A. (Hons.) B.Sc. (Hons.) B.Com. (Hons.), SC of ST candidates getting admission should have in the Previous examinations qualifying marks, which are not lower by more than 25% form the marks obtained, by the last candidate of the general category. The constitutional benefit of 15% reservation is allowed to S.C. and 7.30% to S.T, 3% to PH. Students.

Islampur College Merit List:
Admission to all Honours Course will be based strictly on merit. Merit shall be calculated as per the following formula.
Merit=2S+T/6, T= Marks obtained in English + marks obtained in the subject opted for Honours +best marks of other two subjects excluding EVS and the subject opted for Honours. S = Marks obtained in the subject opted for Honours. If the candidate does not have the specific subject opted for Honours in his/her previous Course, the procedure for Merit Calculation will be as follows, Merit = T/4 T = marks obtained in English + best of other three subjects excluding EVS.

Islampur College Counselling:
Admission is made strictly on the basis of merit as per the marks obtained in the last qualifying examination, keeping in view the stipulated Rules and Regulations set by the University of North Bengal and the Higher Education Department of State Govt. There is also a provision of reservation of seat of SC/ST/OBC/PH as per Govt. Rules.
