About Milli Al-Ameen College for Girls:
Milli Al-Ameen College for Girls is an undergraduate women’s college in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It is affiliated with the University of Calcutta. The establishment of Milli Al-Ameen College by the Milli Educational Organization (registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act-1961) fulfilled the long-cherished desire of the Muslims of Kolkata to have a degree college for girls belonging to educationally backward sections of the society in general and Muslims in particulars. In the year 1992, in anticipation from the University of Calcutta, the college was formally started with a batch of 40 female students and Classes for the B.A. (Pass) Two-year Degree Course were duly commenced under qualified lady teachers. Milli Al-Ameen Girls College Admission Criteria:
A candidate who passed the Higher Secondary or its equivalent Examination (10+2 level) in or after 2015 is eligible to apply for admission to the undergraduate courses. A candidate must have passed in English (full marks not being less than 100) in the previous qualifying examination to apply for B.A./B.Com (Honours) Courses.
1. A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate (of best 4 subjects excluding compulsory
Environmental Education or Studies) and 45% marks in the subject or related subject in the pre-qualifying examinations. OR
2. 50% marks in the aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject in his/her previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are satisfied. OR
3. 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination eligibility criteria of application for admission in B. Com Honours subjects:
A candidate taking up B.Com. Honours Course in a subject must have obtained
1. A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. OR
2. 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. Marks Criteria for S.C./S.T. candidates as per C.U. rules
