Abut Mirik College:
Mirik College, established in 2000, is a government-run degree college in Mirik, Darjeeling district, India. It offers undergraduate courses in arts. It is affiliated with the University of North Bengal. It was initiated by Mirik Citizens Committee which was established in 1972 By Mr. B. B. Lama and Mr. Sagar B Subba with the objective to establish a degree college as well as to establish a Girls High School in Mirik. In 1993 Mr. Lal Bahadur Dewan, an environmentalist and retired manager of Murma tea Estate Jiund the committee as secretary.

Admission Criteria for Mirik College Admission:
A student shall be allowed to take admission in the Honours program course of B.A. if a student has passed in at least four (04) subjects excluding Environmental Studies with English as compulsory subject in the Higher Secondary [10+2] examination held by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary education or any other examination which is recognized by the University as equivalent thereto.
A candidate (general candidate) has to secure– (a) 55 % marks in the aggregate, or (b) 50% in the aggregate with 60% marks in a subject in the last qualifying examination in which a student seeks to apply for the Honours program.
For SC&ST candidates– the minimum marks for eligibility shall be 50 % marks in the aggregate or 45% in the aggregate with 60% marks in a subject in the last qualifying examination in which a student seeks to apply for the Honours program.
