Naba Ballygunge Mahavidyalaya, formerly known as Charu Chandra Evening College, established in 1985, is an undergraduate college in Kasba, West Bengal, India. It is affiliated with the University of Calcutta. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Naba Ballygunge Mahavidyalaya, Kolkata is formerly known as Charuchandra Evening College, was established in 1985 and the institution has been renamed as Naba Ballygunge Mahavidyalaya (New Ballygunge College) with effect from 2005. College is a co-educational with Commerce and Arts streams. Efforts are being made to introduce Vocational stream. Honours courses in several subjects of both Arts and Commerce are taught in this three-year degree college. Students who have passed the 10+2 level examination in 2020 or 2019 from any recognized board in India (e.g. ISC, CBSE, West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education and other boards of other states) are eligible for application to this college. Foreign students with completely published results of 10+2 level or equivalent examinations are eligible for application. A minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with 45% marks in the subject or relevant subjects at the previous qualifying examination in which that subject is included. OR 55% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. OR 50% marks in aggregate when the candidate takes up Honours in the subject not included in his/her previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are satisfied.
