Pingla Thana Mahavidyalaya Admission Criteria:
Students passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) in 2018/2019 or 2020 from all recognized Boards such as West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE), CBSE, ISC, National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) and different Boards of other states are eligible to apply for admission to this college subject to fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria.
Candidate must have passed in 5(Five)/4(Four) (where applicable) recognized subjects including at least one language subject.
Candidates who passed the vocational Course can apply in B.A. (General) Course only.
For the Honours course, the candidates must have passed with at least 45% marks in aggregate or 50% marks in subjects or related subjects in the qualifying examination.

Admission is made strictly on the basis of merit as per the marks obtained in the last qualifying examination, keeping in view the stipulated Rules and Regulations set by the University of Vidyasagar and the Higher Education Department of State Government. There is also a provision of reservation of seat of

Pingla Thana Mahavidyalaya Merit List:
The candidates merit list will be made strictly on a Merit basis. Hons Course will be calculated by adding 10% of total marks obtained in the ‘best five’ subjects Higher Secondary/equivalent examination and the marks obtained in the subject in which the admission in Honours Course is sought.
Example:
Total marks obtained in the ‘Best Five’ subjects = 300
10% of Total Marks = 30 Marks obtained in the subject in which the admission in Honours Course in sought = 50
Total marks = 30 + 50 = 80
