Raidighi College, established in 1995, is an undergraduate college in Raidighi, West Bengal, India. It is affiliated with the University of Calcutta. Raidighi College is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Raidighi College is located in an area that is socio-economically backward. Natural calamities are part and parcel of the people of this locality, students who come to pursue their higher studies are very poor. They sometimes fail to pay the minimum fees of the college. Eligibility Criteria:
A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination is eligible to seek admission to the First Semester of the Six Semester B.A./B.Sc. (Hons and Gen.) the course of studies provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100. In any case, where there is an ambiguity regarding the admissibility of a particular examination at the Higher Secondary (10+2) level of study, the matter shall be referred to the Equivalence Committee of the University who shall determine the eligibility of the said examination.
A candidate taking up Honours Course in a subject must have obtained: A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. In the case of B. Mus. (Hons.) 45% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject Music in the pre-qualifying examination. OR 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. OR 50% marks in the aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject in his/her previous qualifying examination provided all the other clauses are satisfied.

Raidighi College Counselling:
Admission is made strictly on the basis of merit as per the marks obtained in the last qualifying examination, keeping in view the stipulated Rules and Regulations set by the University of Calcutta and the Higher Education Department of State Government. There is also a provision of reservation of seat of SC/ST/OBC/PH as per Government Rules.
» Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes will have to produce, at the time of admission the original relevant certificates acquired from the concerned authorities, and will also have to submit to the college office, photocopies of the same. Candidates seeking admission should produce an original school-leaving certificate duly signed by the head of the institution last attended and mentioning the candidate’s year of passing and the division acquired. Photocopies of the same will have to be submitted to the college office.
Raidighi College Merit List:
Admission will be conducted strictly on the basis of merit. The subject-wise merit lists will be prepared based on corresponding index marks for all categories of students. SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates from only West Bengal are eligible for reservation benefits.
