About Sahid Kshudiram Mahavidyalaya:
Sahid Kshudiram Mahavidyalaya, established in 1996, is a general degree college in Kamakshyaguri. It is in the Alipurduar district. It offers undergraduate courses in arts. It is affiliated with the University of North Bengal. The college is originally located in tribal land, which was exchanged in lieu of land located elsewhere. The local people of Kamakhyaguri has an immense contribution to the construction of the college. The Institution is located in Kumargram block, which is very backward socially and economically. Thus, it was necessary to set up a higher education Institution in this locality. The college originally started functioning in Kamakhyaguri Boys High School with very few students and three teachers in permanent posts.
Eligibility Criteria for Sahid Kshudiram Mahavidyalaya Admission 2021-22 – Online Application
Admission Criteria:
Students who have passed the Higher Secondary examination (10+2) conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary education (W.B.C.H.S.E.) after a period of 12 years study or any other equivalent (10+2) pattern examination conducted by the I.S.C. or C.B.S.E. or any other board recognized as equivalent by the North Bengal University, provided the student has passed in at least four subjects with English as a compulsory subject, excluding Environmental Studies/Environmental Education. Those students who have obtained either (i) 55% marks in the aggregate or (ii) 50% marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying examinations shall be eligible to apply for admission to Honours in the subject concerned in general categories. However, the above criterion reduces to (i) 50% marks in the aggregate or (ii) 45% marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying examinations shall be eligible to apply for admission to Honours in the subject concerned in SC/ST categories.
Sahid Kshudiram Mahavidyalaya Counselling:
Admission is made strictly on the basis of merit as per the marks obtained in the last qualifying examination, keeping in view the stipulated Rules and Regulations set by the University of North Bengal and the Higher Education Department of State Govt.
