About Santipur College:
Santipur College, established in 1948, is a college in Santipur, in Nadia district, West Bengal, India. It offers undergraduate courses in arts and sciences. It is affiliated to the University of Kalyani. Santipur College was awarded B+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). This college was established on 22 July 1948 by local educationists of Santipur and under the guidance of the then Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha Pandit Laxmi Kanta Maitra. Santipur college started its functioning at the Kharjala Garden House of Mr Atal Bihari Maitra and was initially affiliated to the University of Calcutta. The journey that commenced in a two-storied building initially with 48 students only. In the session 2014 – 2015, the college had 15 departments and catered to the needs of 4690 students. The college is now affiliated to the University of Kalyani.

How to Apply for the Santipur College Online Admission 2021-22

Eligibility Criteria for Santipur College Online Admission 2021-22 – Merit List of Santipur College

Santipur College Admission Criteria:
A candidate may be admitted to the first semester of three-year (Six Semester) Bachelor of Arts (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com Hons./Gen.) Courses of Studies on passing Higher Secondary (10+2) examination in Gen. conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination conducted by other State Board/Council, or the W.B. Council of Rabindra Open Schooling, or the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) recognized by the Distant Education Bureau(DEB) subject to fulfilment of the conditions.
A candidate taking up Hons. course in a subject must have obtained:
(I) A minimum of 45% marks in aggregate and 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. or
(II) 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. or
(III) 55% marks in aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject or any related subject in his/her previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are complied with (especially rule-5).

Merit List of Santipur College:
Admission will be conducted strictly on the basis of merit. The subject wise merit lists will be prepared based on corresponding index mark for all categories of students. SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates from only West Bengal are eligible for reservation benefits.

Documents to be submitted for verification on the dates of counselling:
A printout of application form submitted through online with a passport size colour photo attached at proper place and three copies of passport size photo (total 4 copies). The Print out of the Application form must be signed by the candidate and the respective guardian.
1. Original Mark sheet of Higher Secondary or its equivalent along with its self-attested copy.
2. Original document related to certifying the date of Birth, such as Admit card of MadhyamikPariksha and its self-attested copy.
3. In case of SC, ST, OBC-A and OBC-B candidates, original certificate should be issued from S.D.O. or D.M. (certificate issued from any other authorities will not be allowed) and, for physically handicapped as well as candidates for sports quota must bring the certificates from the concerned authorities. Along with the original certificates, a self-attested copy must be brought.
4. In case of challan deposited in the bank during online form fill up a) College copies of Challans.
