About Serampore College:
Serampore College is located in Serampore, in West Bengal state, India. Established in 1818, it is the second oldest college in the country after Presidency College Calcutta, and one of the oldest educational institutes in India that is still functional. The college consists of two entities: The theological faculty and a separate college with faculties of arts, science, commerce. Degrees are awarded for arts, science, and commerce students of the Serampore College by the University of Calcutta.

Eligibility Criteria for Serampore College Admission 2021-22 – Online Application
Admission Criteria:
A candidate who has passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent exam is eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of the 3-year B.A./B.Sc./B.Com (Hons. and Gen.) and B.A.(Major) course of studies provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100. Candidates who have passed the H.S. (10+2) Vocational exam conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education and Training shall be eligible to seek admission to the B.A. (Gen.) 1st-year course of studies taking the subjects under Humanities Division only/Vocational exam in Business & Commerce conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education and Training shall be eligible to seek admission to the B.Com. (Gen.) The 1st-year course of studies under this University.
A candidate taking up Honours Course in a subject must have obtained:
(i) A minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. Or
(ii) 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. Or
(iii) 50% marks in the aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject in his/her previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are satisfied. [(iii) does not apply for B. Com. Hons. Course].
How to Apply for the Serampore College Admission 2021-22
Students have to apply online to take admission to Serampore College under B.A./B.Sc./B.Com Hons. & gen. undergraduate Courses. The online portal www.seramporecollege.org will open after publishing the Higher Secondary (12th) result. Students can apply for B.A., B.Sc., B.Com Hons. and Gen. courses.

3. Photograph and Signature of each in JPG format, max size 50kb, resolution 100dpi.
4. Migration certificate for boards other than WBCHSE/WBBME/CISCE/CBSE/NIOS/Rabindra Mukta Vidyalaya. (JPG format, max size 150kb, resolution 150dpi)
5. For SC/ST/OBC candidates of Original caste certificate from appropriate authority as per WB Domicile Act (JPG format, max size 100kb, resolution 100dpi).
6. For PWD (Persons with Disabilities) candidates of Original Disability Certificate (with 40% or more disability) from the appropriate authority (JPG format, max size 100kb, resolution 100dpi).
7. Document for BPL Category of BPL Card (JPG format, max size 100kb, resolution 100dpi).
Serampore College Merit List:
Applicants should have passed in 04 subjects of 100 marks each and passed the H.S./equivalent exam as a whole. Applicants must have passed in English (at least 100 marks). Applicants of Hons. subjects having the same merit index will be ranked as per their marks in the subject/related subject. If the deadlock still persists, a candidate who applied first will be entertained. Candidates must have passed from a board/council recognized by the University of Calcutta.
Serampore College Counselling:
Admission is made strictly on the basis of merit as per the marks obtained in the last qualifying examination, keeping in view the stipulated rules and regulations set by the University of Calcutta and the Higher Education Department of State Govt. There is also a provision of reservation of seat of SC/ST/OBC/PH as per Govt. Rules.
