Seva Bharati Mahavidyalaya, also known as Kapgari College, is an undergraduate, coeducational college situated in Kapgari, Jhargram, West Bengal. It was established in 1964. The college is under Vidyasagar University. The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). At the dawn of Independence in November 1947, a renowned Agricultural Scientist, working in a high position under the then Bihar Govt., Professor Pabitra Kumar Sen (1906-1997) established Seva Bharati by taking 100 acres of undulated barren land situated in Kapgari and Bagda Mouza from the then Zamindar Jagadish Chandra Deo Dhabaldeb.

Eligibility Criteria for Seva Bharati Mahavidyalaya Admission:
For Honours Subjects: Either 45% in aggregate + H.S. passed with Hons. subjects OR 50% in each Hons. subject.
For General Subjects: Passed in H.S./Vocational examination.
Candidate must have passed in 5(Five)/4(Four) (where applicable) recognized subjects including at least one language subject.
Candidates who passed the vocational Course can apply in B.A. (General) Course only.
For the Honours course, the candidates must have passed with at least 45% marks in aggregate or 50% marks in subjects or related subjects in the qualifying examination.
