Eligibility Criteria for Subhas Chandra Bose Centenary College Admission 2021-22 – Online Application

SCBC College Admission Criteria:
Candidates passed the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination from recognised Board (as prescribed by the University of Kalyani), in the year 2018 or 2019 or 2020 are eligible for taking admission. An Honours candidate is eligible to apply in three Honours subjects in one Admission form. If a candidate is willing to be considered for General course she will have to submit separate Admission form specified for the purpose.

The eligibility criteria as furnished by the University of Kalyani for admission to the first semester Regular Honours Courses are:
i) 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject opted for Honours or
ii) 45% marks in the aggregate and 55% marks in the subject opted for Honours in the qualifying examination.
iii) 55% marks in aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject or any related subject in H.S. for which Hons. is opted.
iv) Candidates belonging to SC and ST category will get a relaxation of 5% marks in case of i), ii) and iii) above.
v) Candidates of SC and ST category will get a 5% relaxation in marks from minimum eligibility criteria.
vi) While calculating such aggregate, full marks of each such subject will be scaled down to 100 wherever needed.

Merit List of SCBCC Admission:
Admission will be conducted strictly on the basis of merit. The subject wise merit lists will be prepared based on corresponding index mark for all categories of students. SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates from only West Bengal are eligible for reservation benefits.

Documents to be submitted for verification on the dates of counselling:
A printout of application form submitted through online with a passport size colour photo attached at proper place and three copies of passport size photo (total 4 copies). The Print out of the Application form must be signed by the candidate and the respective guardian.
1. Original Mark sheet of Higher Secondary or its equivalent along with its self-attested copy.
2. Original document related to certifying the date of Birth, such as Admit card of MadhyamikPariksha and its self-attested copy.
3. In case of SC, ST, OBC-A and OBC-B candidates, original certificate should be issued from S.D.O. or D.M. (certificate issued from any other authorities will not be allowed) and, for physically handicapped as well as candidates for sports quota must bring the certificates from the concerned authorities. Along with the original certificates, a self-attested copy must be brought.
4. In case of challan deposited in the bank during online form fill up a) College copies of Challans.

How to Apply for the Subhas Chandra Bose Centenary College Admission 2021-22

Students have to apply online to take admission to SCBC College under Bachelor of Arts (B.A) honours & general undergraduate Courses. The online portal www.scbcc.org.in will open after publishing the Higher Secondary (12th) result. Students can apply for B.A. Hons. and General courses.

1. Mark Sheet and Admit Card of previous examinations (original & two attested copies by the Head of the Institution last attended.

3. School or College Leaving Certificate from the Institution last attended.
4. Two copies of passport-size photographs (unattested).
