West Bengal Police Constable Examination Process 2019
In order to get appointed as a WB Police constable, candidates would go through the 7stage of the selection process. In all stages, the candidates will be examined by their qualifications, Phisical& Mental Helth, accuracy of their document, and their stress capacity level as well. The selection process is

WB Police Constable Exam Pattern 2019
Preliminary Exam– The Exam Will be Written Objective Type. The question paper will be set in two languages (English & Bengali) The Exam Will be of 100 Questions. Each question will contain 01 marks. The Time Duration For the Exam Will is 1 hour. There will be a NEGATIVE marking of ¼th Marks.

Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
Only qualified candidates from the Preliminary exam will allow for this test

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Candidates who qualify the measurement test are called for the PET in which candidates need to perform 1600 meters run within 6 minutes 30 seconds.
Final Written Exam
Candidates who qualify the PET need to appear for the Final Written Examination.

Interview
After the final written exam, you will have to appear for an Interview. The Interview will carry 15 marks. During the interview, your General Awareness and suitability for the Public will be teated. The Final Merit List will be prepared on the basis score obtained in the final written Test & Interview.
Verification Of Character Antecedents
If your name gets listed in the Final Merit List, you will undergo the Verification of Character Antecedents. And will have to fill up a Verification Roll which will be thoroughly enquired into by the authority concerned.
Medical Examination
The final process of the selection is the Medical exam. Candidates will be sent for Medical Examination at the State Government designated Hospitals. The Certificate of Medical Fitness will be issued by an authority Medical Officer. And only if you are “Medically Fit” considering to medical report, you will be appointed as Constable by Assistant Inspector General Of Police or Superintendent of Police.
