APSET RECRUITMENT ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Age Limit:
As per the government age restriction norms, there is no upper age limit for appearing at the SET. However, for the purpose of recruitment, the relevant Government Order will be applicable.

Age Relaxation:
As per official notification.

Eligibility criteria for the AP State Eligibility Test (SET):
A. Candidates who have obtained a Masters Degree or equivalent from the University/ Institution approved by the UGC (at least 55% marks in the equivalent examination) (without rounding) are eligible for this test. Candidates from Backward Class (BC)/ Scheduled Castes (SC)/ Scheduled Tribes (ST)/ Persons With Disability (PWD) Department who have achieved at least 50% marks in Post Graduate Degree or equivalent (Except Round) Examination.

B. Candidates who are pursuing a postgraduate degree or equivalent courses or candidates who have taken the qualifying graduate (last year) exam and whose results are still awaiting or are late for the qualified candidate examination can also apply for this exam.

C. However, such candidates will be temporarily admitted and will be considered eligible for the award of merit for the Assistant Professor only after they have passed a minimum of 5% marks (with BC/ SC/ ST 5% in the field) in their postgraduate degree or equivalent examination.
