About Bankura Sammilani College:
Bankura Sammilani College, established in 1948, is one of the oldest colleges in the Bankura district. It offers undergraduate courses in arts, commerce and sciences. It is the first National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accredited college in Bankura District with B+. Bankura University. Bankura Sammilani College is established to promote higher education in Bankura and its neighbour districts by the Bankura Sammilani Registered Society. With an aim to provide a platform for higher education to the financially weaker peoples of Bankura it started its journey on 1 September 1948 with 100 students (boys) and 6 teachers of intermediate science. Initially, it was only for boys but its status changed to co-education from the session 1992–1993. From its inception, it was a trusted college and became a govt-aided college on 22 April 1977.
Eligibility Criteria for Bankura Sammilani College Online Admission 2021-22
Admission Criteria of Bankura Sammilani College:
A candidate may be admitted to the first semester of a three-year(Six Semester) Bachelor of Arts (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com Hons./Gen.) Courses of Studies on passing Higher Secondary (10+2) examination in Gen. conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or any equivalent exam conducted by other State Board/Council, or the W.B. Council of Rabindra Open Schooling, or the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) recognized by the Distant Education Bureau(DEB) subject to fulfilment of the conditions.
A candidate taking up Hons. course in a subject must have obtained:
(I) A minimum of 45% marks in aggregate and 55% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. or
(II) 50% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. or
(III) 55% marks in aggregate when the candidate has not studied the subject or any related subject in his/her previous qualifying examination provided all other clauses are complied with (especially rule-5).
