About Government General Degree College:
Government General Degree College, Kharagpur-II, also known as Madpur College, established in 2015, is the government degree college in Paschim Medinipur district. It offers undergraduate courses in arts and science. It is affiliated to Vidyasagar University. Government General Degree College, Kharagpur-II, is one of the newly born government colleges that started the journey from June 2015. At present five honours subjects in Arts (Bengali, English, Philosophy, Political Science & History) and three honours subjects in science ( Botany, Zoology & Physiology) has been introduced by the attached Vidyasagar University. Admission Criteria of Govt. Gen. Degree College:
Candidates who are passing Higher Secondary Examination conducted by West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or any other equivalent board/council in the years 2020/2019/2018 are eligible for apply. However, a candidate passing 10+2 level examination before 2018 with above-mentioned criteria can also apply after getting special permission from the Secretary, UG Council of Vidyasagar University, Paschim Medinipur.
Candidate must have passed in 5(Five)/4(Four) (where applicable) recognized subjects including at least one language subject.
Candidates who passed the vocational Course can apply in B.A. (General) Course only.
For Honours course, the candidates must have passed with at least 45% marks in aggregate or 50% marks in subjects or related subjects in the qualifying examination.
How to Apply for the Govt. Gen. Degree College Admission 2021-22
Students have to apply online to take admission to Govt. Gen. Degree College under B.A., B.Sc. honours & general undergraduate Courses. The online portal www.ggdckgp2.org.in will open after publishing the Higher Secondary (12th) result. Students can apply for B.A., B.Sc. Hons. and General courses.
Students desirous of getting admission to have to apply in the printed form available from the office on payment with the following documents:
1. Mark Sheet and Admit Card of previous examinations (original & two attested copies by the Head of the institution last attended.
2. Caste/PH Certificate (in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH students) from the appropriate authority.
3. School or College Leaving Certificate from the Institution last attended.
4. Two copies of passport-size photographs (unattested).
5. Transfer Certificate in case of students coming from another college.
