Indian Navy Sailor (MR) Exam Pattern 2020
Indian Navy Matric Recruitment (MR) for October Batch 2020 is for 400 Candidates (approximately) through a proper selection process. Through it, candidates become Seloir in the Indian Navy as chef, Steward, Hygienist. The following selection processes are-

  • Written Test.
  • Physical Fitness Test (PFT).
  • Medical Standards.

Indian Navy Sailor (MR) Written Exam 2020
The Exam paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English) and computer-based objective type (multiple-Choice).
The question will consist of 50 questions, each question will carry 01 marks.
There will be four alternatives for the answer to every question.
For each incorrect answer, a negative marking of 0.25 marks shall apply.
The total marks for the examination will be 30 min.
The question paper will comprise two sections i.e Science & Mathematics and General knowledge.
The question standers will be as class 10th based.

Written Exam Syllabus:

Mathematics: Relation & Function, Complex numbers, Equations, Trigonometry, Straight lines, conic sections, set theory, Probability, 3Dimension, Limits, Continuity, Indefinite integrals, Matrices, Determinants

Science: Physical World & Measurement, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy & Power, Gravitation, Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Oscillations, Current Electricity, Alternating Current, Electromagnetic waves, Optics, Dual Nature of Matter, Principles of Communication

General Knowledge: Geography, Soil, Rivers, Inland Harbours, Sports, Defence, National Language, Discoveries, Numerical Reasoning, Spelling, Coding & Decoding

Physical Fitness Test (MR PFT)
1.6 Km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups (Uthak Baithak) and 10 Push-ups. Candidates undergoing PFT will do so at their own risk.

It is an amendatory qualify section. All candidates should pass the PFT to enter the next stage.

Medical Standards:
Medical examination will conduct by authorized military doctors as per the medical standard prescribed in current regulation applicable to sailors on entry.

Minimum height 157 cms. Weight and Chest should be proportionate. minimum chest expansion of 05 cms. Details regarding minimum height standards for entry into the Indian Navy as Sailors, including applicable relaxations, can be accessed from the official recruitment website.

The candidates should be in good physical and mental health, free from any defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties both ashore and afloat under peace as well as war conditions as per Navy Order (Special) 01/2008. Preliminary Medical Examination for recruitment will be considered only “Provisionally fit subject to fitness in the final medical examination”. Final Enrollment Medical Examination of all selected candidates will be done at INS Chilka. Candidates who are found medically fit in the Final Enrollment Medical Examination will be enrolled. Candidates who are found medically unfit will be advised to appeal against its findings, if they so desire, at INHS Kalyani, Visakhapatnam within a maximum period of 21 days.
