About Malda Women’s College:
Malda Women’s College, established in 1970, is a women’s college in the Malda district of West Bengal, India. The college is affiliated with the University of Gour Banga and offers undergraduate courses in arts. The campus is situated in Malda. Eligibility Criteria for Malda Women’s College Admission 2021-22 – Online Application

Admission Criteria:
Students who have passed the Higher Secondary examination (10+2) conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary education (W.B.C.H.S.E.) after a period of 12 years study or any other equivalent (10+2) pattern examination conducted by the I.S.C. or C.B.S.E. or any other board recognized as equivalent by the Gour Banga University, provided the student has passed in at least four subjects with English as a compulsory subject, excluding Environmental Studies/Environmental Education. Those students who have obtained either (i) 55% marks in the aggregate or (ii) 50% marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying examinations shall be eligible to apply for admission to Honours in the subject concerned in general categories. However, the above criterion reduces to (i) 50% marks in the aggregate or (ii) 45% marks in the aggregate with 60% marks in the subject in the qualifying examinations shall be eligible to apply for admission to Honours in the subject concerned in SC/ST categories.

Malda Women’s College Merit List:
Selection will be strictly based on merit points following the guidelines of the North Bengal University. Admission will be conducted strictly on the basis of merit. The subject wise merit lists will be prepared based on corresponding index mark for all categories of students. SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B candidates from only West Bengal are eligible for reservation benefits.

4. Students who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or its equivalent from the All India boards/councils (i.e. C.B.S.E, I.S.C. and National institute of open schooling) need not require to submit the Migration Certificate for getting Registration under Calcutta University.
5. Students coming from other University/Board must submit the Migration as well as Pass Certificates in original for getting registration under Calcutta University.
