Eligibility Criteria for WBPSC Geologist & Mining Officer Recruitment 2020

Qualification:
Geologist – Candidates should have a second class Master’s degree in Geography or Applied Geography of a recognized University / Institute or equivalent with two years of practical experience in prospecting various minerals. Experience in Mining and Drilling would be desirable.

Mining Officer – Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized University / Institute or a diploma in Mining Engineering from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad or equivalent or Second Class Master Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or equivalent from a recognized University / Institute with two years field experience.

Age Limit & Relaxation:
The upper age limit of candidates should not be more than 36 years for Geologist Post and 40 years for Mining Officer as on 01/01/2020. The relaxation would be applicable for the reserved candidates as per the rule of the West Bengal government.

Salary Scale:
Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs. 15600/- to 42000/- with the grade pay of rs. 5400/- per month.

The application fee of Rs. 210/- should be submitted by the Applicant through the online process while fill-up the application fee by using Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI also by the in Branches of UBI. SC / ST candidates of West Bengal and PWD candidates are not required to pay any fee. No Exemption of fee is available to SC / ST candidates of other states.
